The other day I was sitting outside Starbucks by the Novy Smichov shopping center, trying to relax a little.
Of course, this is very difficult and rarely happens, as usually a pair of policemen stand around there, or a couple of M2C security staff, and invariably look over at me and then theatrically do the “we’re not looking at you” routine, while I just try to ignore them.
On this occasion, what appears to be a Tesco shopworker was standing outside having his break. I have probably shopped in the Tesco in Novy Smichov perhaps 4 or 5 times in the last couple of years. I stopped shopping there, because nearly every time I did so, an Bohemia Marten security guard would make a point of standing directly in line with the till I was paying for my goods at, and then immediately walk away laughing when I had done so. This would happen 9 times out of ten, despite their being over a dozen cashiers/tills, and only ever two security guards on duty watching the lines. So the odds of it being a co-incidence, was literally billions to one, as it happened hundreds of times over five years or so. But when I did challenge a security guard as to why they were doing so, they denied it, laughed, and told me “they were looking at everybody, and I was paranoid”. I complained to Tesco numerous times, and on one occasion a manager replied back, telling me I was being paranoid, but at the same time, “it was a good thing that the police were keeping watch on people”. And of course, Roman Basta himself told me it was all a paranoid delusion on my part. I also once asked to see the store manager, and again, he told me I was being paranoid. When I told him I was recording him on my smartphone, he became aggressive and ordered me out of the store.
Despite very rarely shopping there for 2 or 3 years now, it appears I am still being pointed out to Tesco staff.
Now back to this guy in the photo (in the light blue to the right) above, who appears to be a Novy Smichov Tesco worker. He saw me sitting outside Starbucks, and immediately became agitated. He was talking to two very mean looking men, both wearing tops with death metal type artwork, and sporting tattoos. He pointed me out to both of them, and from that point, and both of the men kept glaring at me, seemingly very aggressively.
